In regards to the Learning Community (both classes), think about your experiences thus far this semester. What is working, what could be improved, etc.... The Two wishes and a star concept is an evaluation process of your experiences in our classes, the Learning Community.
Two wishes....what are two things you wish we would do differently- that could be improved or strengthened to aid in your learning?
The Star....what are we doing right. What is working for you?

1: I think we as students need to get more involved in our class discussions.

What is working for me is the note taking. Easy to understand and study from.

#1) more interaction. the pbl groups are helping me feel more comfortable, but i still don't feel well enoguh to present something in front of everyone else because i dont really know them as well..
#2) some home work. we never have any so i never get the chance to see if i actually understand what we're learning in class.
STAR
all the notes in the psyc. class are easy to follow and understand and the organization skills we're learning in the student dev. class are helping tremendiously.
Wishes:
1) individual chapter Study guides as we go along.

Star:
1. I'm learning new things everyday so thats good. I am retaining the information well.

1. I'm okay with the note taking but it seems too simple, I need to understand each chapter more better in another way.
For me the wishes are:
1. That all my students would look at their syllabus everyday and avoid the stress of not being organized.
2. For every student that completes my class, I hope they find their passion as I have.
The star:
1. I feel that what is working is the committed faculty and staff of this college that believes every student can achieve their dreams.

Two wishes:
1) To have more time on each chapter that we study because i have a really hard time remembering so much information at once.
2) To do more stuff in class besides take notes that would help us do better on our tests.
Star: I like that you want to help us out so much, that makes me feel better about the class

#1-It's weird, but homework. It would help us to know that we are actually absorbing what we are learning.

Two Wishes:
1. I read all the comments posted so far, and I see that we all have one wish in common. And that is to have more class interaction and/or some type of homework or assignment. In that I do agree. Homework/assignments in a way help me retain the information we go over in class.

1. I really like the note taking. That is what I'm used to so it works great for me. I also like the stories/examples told in class that Mrs. Wallis uses to relate to the material being discussed. That helps me out as well because I can see it from different perspectives.
1:)apply the notes we acquire on a in-class assignment.

the (*); i like the test review, very very helpful..
1. More involvement in class.
2. more time to go over study guides. Maybe we could have study guide review games like the last test. I think that it helped me with the test.
-overall I like how you teach.
