One hurdle down....
Whew.....we are past the first major hurdle of the semester which was Test #1. In respect to the test-taking principles: Before , During and After the test, what were some observations that you made about yourself and your test taking abilities? Think in terms of how you prepared, how you felt during the test and what you may do differenlty next time.

Before the test I was so nervous I felt like I had a ball in the middle of my body. During When I read all the questions I felt more relaxed. Afterwards, I felt good.
I studied with the study guide. IT helped me out a lot. I missed one on the test that I had right in my head, but I marked a different answer IDK why. The rest I narrowed it down to two and picked the wrong one. On more than one of them the OTHER choice was right. On some I was just plain wrong.
Hansel-
I saw the one you knew but marked wrong...the one about the receptor cells. Many got that one wrong. I'm glad the study guide helped and that will be something that I do for each exam. Hopefully next time you will not be so nervous before hand now that you know what to expect. You all did well for the first test!

im really comfertable with the test that was given and happy with my grade
In class today, I think there were a lot of "aha" moments about test-taking. I predict great improvement on your next exam.
I shared with Mrs. Wallis your mind maps and she was impressed and excited about Monday's class because she will expand today's topic. This learning community is an awesome group.
Have a great week and weekend. Later, Ms. Alvarado
Something happened to where i didn't even realize that the test was that day so it wasn't a great experience for me. I showed up a little late, first off, but i had good reasoning. but i also didn't study at all... i usually take the two days before the test and set those days to study, but i was wound up in whatever that i accidently forgot and ended up with a D, which is pretty much what i expected. I know now that i definately need to study rather than rely on my guessing ability. :/
before the test, i realized that i really wasn't as nervous as i thought i would be. for once i used a study guide, and i thought it would help me out a lot....until i actually sat down to take the test. at first, i thought i was doing fine. then i would get stuck on a question, and that would lead to another that i didn't know, and i tensed up. but i calmed myself out and did as best i could.
after the test i was a little worried. but it only made me want to study even harder and do a lot better on the next test
I was studying before I got to school and during class..I wanted to study the material more so I can have it stuck in my head. Once I got the test, I freaked. I totally went blank, I was of course second guessing on each question of the test. Next time, I'll remember to study alot more to have a better understand of the material that I'm learning.
Thanks to the review, everything seemed pretty easy. I studied in order following the review, the only question i really had problems with was the short answer one, that asked about the psychologist that dealed with ethics. I think the review was a great way to keep us from failing.
Well, I thought I would do better than I did. I went through the study guide and did it all and I studied. Maybe next time I will do a little better.
